First Question relates to Exporting graphics for iPhone (apps).
The iPhone 5 has a screen pixel width of 320 and a ppi of 326.
Why is the current method of exporting for retina display to just make the image twice the size?
i.e. A table header graphic might be 320px x 120px 72dpi - For retina display this becomes 640px x 240px 72dpi
Why not export 320px x 120px @326ppi ? Would that not display the "crispest" ?
Second Question.
What is the best ratio and file format when creating video for iPhone and/or iPad ?
1920 x 1080 at 720 ppi and let the iPad/iPhone work its rescaling magic, or get as close to the exact screen dimensions/ppi from the initial shoot?
If I made a mistake with any mistakes, jump in, chop me up, i'm not sensitive I just want the answers.
If this is not the right forum for these questions let me know, if possible please direct me to the correct one.
Cheers
