So I've tried a couple of speaker/microphone splitters to go from my external microphone to my phone (iPhone 6s iOS 10.1) then have a voice converter software (Voice Synth Pro) convert my voice and output it though a speaker. This is for my Darth Vader costume for the upcoming premier of Rouge One in December. The speakers ended up working, but not input from the microphone. Thoughts?

Here is the microphone and splitter I was using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUimUvbUpU2840994

The voice converting software is called Voice Synth Pro.

In the short term, I was able to splice a female headphone jack to the cord running to the left earbud of the stock apple earbuds/microphone and that worked, but I'd like to use a higher quality microphone than the stock earbud mic and use a splitter for the long term.

Couple of notes: Blue tooth speaker will not work; I already tried the lightning to headphone adapter and it did not fix the problem.

What I really need is some help finding a apple compatible microphone/speaker splitter!!

Thanks!
