iPhone Car Charger Use with iPad

Does anyone know if the iPhone car charger is compatible with the iPad? I'm doing some traveling soon and really need to know. Thanks.

When I get back to my car in the morning I can check my griffin car charger.

Alright so i was able to snag my Griffin Car charger and it unfortunately gives the not charging message. Kind of sucks. I'd love a mobile charging solution.

I just tested my latest Power Jolt for almost two months and it would not charge in my iPad.
