iPhone cant see my iTunes shared library over wifi

I have all my music on my pc which is also the host for my home network. I have the latest version of itunes and turned library sharing on.

On my powerbook i can see the shared library in itunes fine over wifi, but on my 3gs it doesn't show up at all. on my old 3g it would appear fine.

is there some setting i need to change on the phone, or is my phone duff? the wifi works fine on the device so no problems there. it's just really frustrating that i can't access my music from my main windows machine.

I don't think you can sync shared music, but don't quote me...

If you want to have your iTunes music on your iPhone, you will need to physically sync it with your machine. If you are looking to play the music on your computer from the computers speakers, you can control iTunes using the Remote app.

that's not an advertised feature anywhere
