Always a dangerous thing to say, but... I've never missed not using them, in many years of using Palm devices. Using colleagues' Palms with them on, the touchscreen always seems inaccurate in comparison, and often dirty (which of course could be easily fixed).

I'm also in the no-screen-protectors camp, and after 8 years of various Palms, Handsprings, and Clies I have never had a damaged screen because of it. Some egrips on my Treo is all that I use now as far as cases go.

I wonder how slippery the iPhone is.
