Iphone 7plus keeps on rebooting itself

I

iMore Question

My 3 month old iPhone 7 plus is driving me mad. It keeps rebooting itself and after spending hours trying to update/restore nothing has worked. I have had numerous conversations with apple support and they haven't managed it resolve it. The phone suddenly switches off itself and then the apple log appears and then it goes into a loop.

It doesn't seem to be a software issue to me as I have updated it to iOS 10.2 but no luck . Can i ask apple to replace the handset?

First, start from scratch. Put the device in DFU mode, connect it to your computer via USB cable, and then when iTunes detects that the device is in recovery, select to restore and update it. That will cause iTunes to install a fresh full copy of the latest official iOS version on the device. After the process is complete, set it up as new and NOT from a backup. Yes, it is an inconvenience, but 9 times out of 10, the device will function as it should.
