Hi there,

some of you might have read my introduction post a while back :)
TLDR : I recently got a 5S (1st iPhone) out of curiosity and I really like it

BUT, since the RED I'm very keen on getting one  (not plus)
I'd like to ask you about some things (as title suggests)

What do you like / dislike about it?
Is it 'worth' it?

Storage wise... I'm thinking 128, but would 256 be an overkill?
Thinking of getting it on a 2yrs contract at T-Mobile (I'm in Europe), on contract the price difference is not very significant (256GB would be around 10Euros more than the 128GB per month) :sarcastic:

RED,RED,RED....
As I'm not a fan of keeping a quite expensive phone 'naked', what case would you suggest that offers good protection, it's more or less transparent (I'm thinking clear back and black sides, as I don't like transparent edges) is there such thing (?), I've seen that post about the clear cases for 7, there are some things I like, I'm thinking something around that style. Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome besides those :)

If you are coming from a iPhone 5s i would say the jump is definitely worth it. Thats 3 years of improvements to camera, processor and graphics! The Matte colour of the Product RED looks really nice. Shiny is nice but its a finger print magnet so having Matte helps a little.

If you think you are going to use the 256GB of storage and you can afford it, then why not. Treat yourself to something nice :D but i think the 128GB variant should be plenty for 90% of people.

Hope this helps a little with your decision. Good luck, and if you do make the purchase, let us know by posting photos.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Regarding storage, it looks like 128 will be, as they (T) only carry RED 128. But yes, that's plenty of space, I didn't even fill 32GB on my Blackberries earlier  Will sure post if I get one

I made the jump from the 5C to the 7 3 days ago and let me tell you it's worth it. I too was going to get the red but I never need more than 16 gigs so the 32 was enough and this way it was $0 on a 2 year contract as opposed to paying g $129 for 128 GB's that I could never use. For some people that's not enough :p

The jump is worth it and you won't miss the headphone jack. It's worth the sacrifice to be water resistant.

Well, I made the 1st step towards getting a 7 :) I put up my 5S for sale recently...
16/32/128, they're just numbers in the end, but at local T-Mobile they only have 128GB RED, so I'll have to settle for that  that's like the best option anyway IMO.
Headphone jack...that ain't an issue anymore, as my previous Skullcandy 'died', and I anyway wanted an Urbanears Plattan ADV Wireless, which I ordered on amazon.de, what is on the way at the moment.

So yea, the 5S has to go , to make place for the 7 ;)
