iPhone 7 Plus with 10.2.1 will not send text messages to sync 3

I have a 2016 Mustang GT with sync 3. Text message function would send text messages on the screen. It worked perfectly for 7 months, then stopped. It started with my iPhone 6 and has continued with my iPhone 7. IOS is up to date. Had the car to the Ford dealer. If you have an android or other phone, it works. They've started a case with Ford Motor Company. I have Verizon wireless. Called apple and they beaten around the bush. My question is, is it the new operating system ? Verizon wireless ? Or is it the proprietary war between Microsoft and Apple ? Could someone shed some light on this.

Bluetooth connection, I assume? Any chance you have a spouse/partner/friend's car you can try it with as well?

I tried that. Their iPhone works, but it's another carrier. Androids work fine. I have Verizon.

That's really weird. If one iPhone works, they all should. Do other Verizon phones work?

On the latest Verizon of sync. I believe it's ford and they are fixing a patch. They won't confirm or deny.
