Once the X comes out, we will have a better idea of sales. Comparing two models when the third is still not even out yet, is tricky. The hard numbers don’t lie, but the reasoning is questionable. Is it because nobody wants the 8, or because people want the X?

I think it’s literally both working at the same time. People don’t see a reason to upgrade there 6 to an 8 when they can get a 7 which is almost identical to the 8. Then you have the people who want to upgrade their 6 or 7 to the X and the iPhone 8 was never an option. So I believe both factors are working against the iPhone 8
