Iphone 6s keeps losing text alert sounds.

Using the chime text alert sound and vibrate. Sometimes it works but usually it doesn't. Even the vibrate doesn't work.

The side switch is on . The do not disturb is not turned on. I change nothing and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have done a soft reset and a full reset and no difference. I am thinking it is a defective phone but would appreciate it if anyone has fixed this problem. Using ios 11.2.6 but problem started much sooner than this

You said you have DnD turned on? If that is the case look at your settings and you might have it enabled to allow favorites through which is why some notifications are coming in. You can also set specific contacts to over ride the DnD settings from the contacts app.

No.. I said the do not disturb is NOT turned on. I have an iphone 5s that works perfectly but the 6s is will not .
