Not really. You can use the iPad charger to fully charge it from zero in abt 2 hrs

And does this affect the battery badly? Since it is another charger with different ampere?

Shouldn't have any negative effects on the battery. Apple lists the 12V charger as compatible with iPhone 6s Plus. I've been using one since my 6 Plus with no issues.
