Are you sure it does it in your pocket? I would think the proximity sensor wouldn't let that happen.

Well there is no way to be sure. That said, under my battery settings my on screen time has been significantly lower since turning the feature off. But again, no way to be sure. I agree with you that the device should have some way of differentiating lifts...
