iPhone 6 price in the US

Hello everyone. I'd like to know the prices for UNLOCKED iPhone 6 (international version) in the US. A friend of mine will be going to the US next month and from what I've seen online, it looks cheaper over there. I've seen contract free from T-Mobile starting from $649 on Apple's website, but I don't want that. I want an out and out International version. So I'm planning on giving him some money to get it for me. However I'm afraid not to buy a locked one. I'd appreciate a link/site. Thank you.

The iPhone 6 from T-Mobile is unlocked. Factory unlocked for that matter. I got an iPhone 6 T-Mobile and I was able to swap SIM cards in between ATT and T-Mobile.
The iPhone 6 has every LTE band needed for you to receive 4G/LTE if it is available in your country. If you are either in North America, Central America or Latin America the T-Mobile version will work for sure. Model A1549. But if you are somewhere in Europe you may need a different version, Make sure you check the LTE bands if you have any questions:

Verizon models are Factory unlocked as well and you will be able to use a CDMA carrier. You can buy them full price at the Verizon store. If your friend has a SSN and $20 for activation to spare you should be up and running.

In case he doesn't, the T-Mobile model is factory unlocked and ready to be used internationally.

If he buys the AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile "version" directly from Apple at full price, it'll be unlocked for international use. T-Mobile isn't the only option for unlocked.

Thank you all for the replies. I think I'll be going with T-Mobile then. At least for now. Maybe Apple will have SIM free on their site up and running by next month, who knows.

Unlocked phones start at $650 for the 6 and $750 for the 6+.
