iphone 6 plus verizon is provider for email. How do I set up Outlook

When you go through the set-up there is no POP setting which is what Verizon uses. What other setting would work? Outlook said I need to change email provider and suggested outlook.com. I have to many contacts tied to multiple emails threw Verizon. Can you help?
