iPhone 6 Plus stuck in headphone mode without headphones

My phone worked fine up to an hour ago and now it keeps thinking there are headphones plugged in and there aren't. I did a hard reset and then I reset all settings. Trying to avoid wiping and reloading the device does anyone know of a solution?

Try plugging in a set of earbuds... spin the plug around a bit while plugged in... pull the plug out and re-insert a few times and see if that does something...
