Apologies for delay to your response. I work weekends so limited time. I need to find out something from you. I have tried this on my 5 and I have a perfect fit. I think you may have possibly downloaded the wrong image. You need to download the image that is 640 x 1136. Not the 750 x 1334. Could you please double check for me and we can go from there. Thank you!

I wanted to show you the fit I have to your screen shot. You will see you screen overlayed on top of the one I rebuilt. I have reduced the opacity of you screen so you can see it should fit. I am also including a shot of it on my iPhone 5 which is same screen resolution and fit as SE. All I want to do is help you figure it out so it fits your iPhone as it should. Have you tried pinching the image before applying it as you homescreen. As you can see from the fit you are showing, it looks like the image is being expanded.
