I want to save battery life by turning off 4G LTE cellular data and only having WiFi turned on when at home/work. If I turn off cellular data, how does this affect phone calls? I get phone calls with just WiFi on, but is it any better to have cellular data turned on for phone reception/calls? Thanks

Just turning off cellular data to save battery is like unscrewing one light bulb in a chandelier to use less electricity...

Really, that's good. LTE has that little of an effect on battery? I know for some other platforms LTE has been a significant battery vampire.

LTE can be a battery killer in low/marginal signal areas... typical use, turning off LTE or cellular data isn't going to make an appreciable difference in battery life.

LTE uses a lot of battery for me because It switches from 4G to LTE unless I'm in the city. Turning data off doesn't affect calls.
