iPhone 5 users: Can you please try this out?

I started a thread yesterday about this issue and an administrator closed it thinking it was another issue I was talking about, but it's not related to that.

Anyways, I've noticed that whenever my phone vibrates there's a rattling sound coming from the phone that happens after the vibrate goes off. If I'm in a quiet room it's very noticeable. So, if you have an iPhone 5, could you please try this out to help me narrow down if there's something with my phone or not:

Go into a quiet room, and hold the phone to your ear so the back of the device is facing towards your ear. Toggle the phone from loud to vibrate and listen to see if you hear a rattling noise that occurs after the phone vibrates.

Thanks.
Seriously. What is with some people and their "issues"??? Who the hell ever holds the BACK OF THE PHONE up to their ear in a quiet room and then toggles the silent switch???
I am getting annoyed with people posting ridiculously asinine complaints that nobody would ever notice during NORMAL USE of the phone.

The rattle you hear is the mechanism in the camera and IS NORMAL.

Sorry to blow up on you, but seriously dude. Stop looking for things wrong with it and enjoy your phone.

/end rant

Not sure who pissed in your coffee this morning, but if I'm able to hear a rattling noise coming from the back of my phone when I receive a message that triggers the phone to vibrate during a call, then I'm going to look into it. I paid full price for this "premium" device, and if there's something that shouldn't be there, then I'm going to make sure I get it checked out as soon as I can. I had the 4 and 4S and never experienced this issue, so I see no fault for posting a question regarding a possible faulty unit. In this post I'm describing the best possible way for people to check if their device has the same problem, since some people might not hear it.

Dial it down a notch... if it's something that you think isn't right, just take to Apple or the place of purchase and have them check it out or replace it... no need to get ugly...

I agree.... Be easy... No need to call people names. Take your Premium paid device back to store.

I assume this is the thread you were pointed to when your other topic was closed? If so, I really think that covers all the bases about the rattle--you'll likely get more answers there than anywhere else. Why do you suspect yours is a different issue?

That's the thing. If you are really worried about it and you are sure it's not normal, take it to the Apple Store and have it checked out. As for who pissed in my coffee? Nobody. There have been a lot of threads popping up with insignificant issues and yours lit the match, so to speak. ;)

The rattle does bother me tho. How in the hell did they let that slip through during testing.
If you are referring to the rattle from the camera area, it slipped though during testing because its normal. It's the focus/antishake mechanism in the lens assembly. My 4s used to do it also, as did my last Android phone (HTC One XL). ;)

No, but I can go buy a truck and try to recreate it for you.

I just tried it with mine and I didn't get a thunk sound, it made a splash sound as it fell in the toilet. Can anyone else reproduce this? You have to unplug the phone while surfing porn on the toilet.
