iphone 5 to iphone 6 backup

Just got the i phone 6 today. Connected it to my mac computer to backup from my other phone. The back up went through and my phone started to restart but than just went blank. I can not turn on or off my phone now and the screen is still black. Whenever I connect it to the computer it says the phone is still on and concocted to iTunes. How do I get the screen to go back on?

Press and hold both the power button and the home button until you see the Apple logo. Afterwards, release both buttons.
