iPhone 5 Metal Dock

This is a dock by 3 Arrows Studios, what do you think? I think they are pretty cool. They also come with the lightning cable.

It literally looks like someone took part of a door knob kit, bent it and then cut a hole out for the lightning cable. And for $40? LOL! No thanks.

And am I to understand that the rear piece rests on the cable? Interesting design choice...i guess that's going to work out real well when something with some weight happens to bear down on that, and your lightning cable gets damaged.

Not sure why, but this reminds me of a hand dryer in the men's public toilets...

Thats where they got the idea from (the hand dryer).

It is actually bent sheet metal that resembles their wood docks.

I'm not sure about the price myself. But the cable is about 20.00 by itself. So they are charging 19.00 for just the dock. That's not that bad.

great choice to have metal on metal scratching as you slide your phone into the slot and I guess forget it if you have any case.

I just checked out their eBay page...this item can't be that hard to ensure quality and finish, and then they have this picture on their sales ad? Yeeesh...

The rough edges on the right side really make it looked like a do it yourself project. Looks pretty rough for a product the plan to sell.
