Hi all,
I have something that needs to be addressed. This evening, when I was rearranging my homescreen icons, my phone crashed and respringed. I'm able to replicate the problem.
These screenshots will give you an example: the incident has happened 6 times.

I'm believing that I may need a replacement phone.
Any help/ feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried restoring it as new via iTunes?

Did this happen after installing an app? If so, delete the app and see if that corrects the issue. If not, I'd just restore as new like JMD suggested.

Both questions that were asked of you are critical. I would if due to an app delete it and reboot your device to get rid of any remants of the app. If not the app go to step one as JMD suggested and restore as new. That should get it for you.

One last thing, While I respect and know many others di as well to ask the forum, I also believe that if it is something like the screenshots you provided, this is a perfect situation for Apple support and Applecare if you have it. Thank you for trusting us and asking and best of luck. Let us know.

Hi all,

I apologize for the late response.
I haven't really installed any new apps recently.
I will go ahead and restore as new as Just Me D suggested.
I will update you if anything new happens......
Thanks for all the support!

Hi all,

I just would like to present some updates on the situation. I restored as new yesterday to iOS 6.0.1.
So far, I have not experienced any crashes.
I have experienced really bad battery life.
I really don't want to restore again as new. What are my other options? Replacement, take to Apple store?! That's what I'm thinking right now. I'm open to any feedback; actually any comments/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

Update: My phone has crashed 3 times with panic p.list entries.
I think it's time to get a replacement. Going to make a Genius Bar appointment momentarily.

If you search the Apple support boards, you will see that it is a confirmed bug. A lot of people are having it. It has something to do with moving objects between screens. Sadly, it doesn't appear fixed in 6.01. I was in the Apple Store for another matter (daughter's battery), and they confirmed that it is in fact a bug.

Clean restores don't fix it. Been there, done that.

So basically, I should go ahead and make a Genius Bar Appointment and everything should resolved. I should also expect to get a replacement phone. I just wanted to confirm.

Also, I searched the apple support communities and the problem that those people were having was related to the springboard. Mine is not. It crashes randomly in any application.
:(

If you can duplicate the issue it can help .. It may be a known issue but a lot of people don't have it so it is not a bug that everyone has

Currently, I'm not able to reproduce the issue, but I do have the screenshots to prove that it actually occurred. I guess we will see what happens.....when I arrive at the Genius Bar.

I suspect a new phone will make no difference, as everything I've seen and heard say it is a software issue - new hardware will not help.

But if your near a Apple Store by all means go and confirm, one way or another.

Update:

Yeah! No more issues!!
I've had no issues and have great battery life.

It's not even a new phone! iOS 6.0.1

No problems whatsoever! I don't know; really strange!
