iPhone 4 stuck following a reformat

Hi,
I tried to cleanup my iPhone 4 and giveit as a present. Following formating, the set got stuch. All I can see is the circuking wheel.
How can I bring it back to life?

Connect it to iTunes and select to restore it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried, but itunes doesn't identify my device.

Managed to reboot it, following a 15 secs Home operation.
