Agreed.
The only thing I'm worried about is how it will look because Apple kept the same camera. (booooo!)

I agree - they should have upgraded the hardware & lens. It'll look like a crappy 2mp camera with video capture. The chipset is capable of up to 5mp processing (according to Infineon's data) but given the el cheapo lens, you don't want that.

Looks like the new iPhone has an additional proximity sensor:

Some time ago it was reported that Apple added a new sensor to the 3G iPhone, however no mention was made of it during Steve Job's Keynote. According to iLounge, a second proximity sensor has been added to help turn of the screen when on a call, and to sense when the device has accidently been turned on in ones pocket. The iPhone will still include the ambient light sensor, as well as the 'old' proximity sensor- totaling 4 sensors in the device (including the accelerometer).

The addition of a second proximity sensor will likely decrease the rare instances where the phone fails to sense a user's face and turn off its touch screen.

They nixed that when they decided against the flux capacitor power source. Apparently, Plutonium is a bit too dangerous for everyday use...

What is the new screen made from. The back of the phone is now plastic. I like the brushed aluminum. looks like corners are being cut.
