iPhone 3G S or iPhone 3GS?

I personally like the middle one, but what is it "officially"?

Apple has it as iPhone 3GS on their site. I know there was some confusion along the way but since then has been changed.

Ha! That is exactly how I feel...though my upgrade is finally available next Tuesday. I can't wait...it has been a real drag having to wait a month to get it...

I spoke with someone who was directly involved with this name changing and I can now confirm that this is indeed exactly 100% the case. And on top of that you can also toss in a ton of packaging that had to be scrapped for all sorts of accessories and even the boxes that the iPhone 3GS ships in...
