iphone 3g can't restore had cydia jailbreak

My 3g won't restore. I keep getting an error 1015.
Tried entering DFU, got a black screen which I think confirms it's in DFU but still can't restore thru itunes.

I don't know anything about jail-breaking. I bought the phone that way. Forgot to be sure to not restore.
