iPhone 2.2 jailbreak

I have a 3g iPhone with 2.2 software and I want to jailbreak it but I'm not sure if it will work. Can someone please confirm that this works with this software??

It works great use the pwnagetool 2.2 don't use quickpwn iPhone won't be as smooth

I don't know anything about software and stuff so should I be doingthis by myself?
And how do I backup my contacts so if it doesn't work and I have to restore I'll have no problems.

Just follow the guide that TiPB has provided and you will be fine.

By the way, you only use PwnageTool if you are jailbreaking with a Mac.

And to keep your contacts, simply sync them with the appropriate program on your computer i.e. Outlook, Windows Contacts, etc. for PC. I'm a PC user
