iphone 1st Generation (2G) box size

Anyone know if the original iphone was available in two different box sizes? Seen some people listing original iphone for sale online but with a thin case, is this likely to be an authentic original case?

Seems unlikely as this would have meant that the iphone was originally sold without a charger as there would be no room for it in the slim box.

There may have been more than more box, often times reviewers will get a smaller, or sometimes much larger box for their devices, BUT most of the retail sales were done with one common sized box. What you might have here is someone using a box from another apple (or another device) product, such as an ipod touch box, that was quite small, BUT would fit a 2G iPhone.
