iPhone 15's major Wi-Fi upgrade might not be made by Apple after all

The gist of the story/rumor is Apple is reallocating internal semiconductor dev team resources to get the 3nm done ASAP. Therefore a scale back or cutting of the Wi-Fi/BT radio chip but not the 5G cellular radio chip.
Two things:
1. If 3nm is not yet done it probably means iphone 15 will be 5nm. 15 production of piece parts is <5 months away.
2. The dev/eng team working on Wi-Fi and BT will presumably be specialists to WiFi and BT. They can just be switched seems an uncertainty.

And how many home WiFi networks are using 6E?

The number is few making its user practicality tiny. Apple doing this makes me think they may have a bigger plan. Apple tends to do things deliberately with a bigger goal in mind. OTOH Competition on the other side tends to expedite any new feature/spec that is mentioned in tech media, whether it is good or gives tiny user practicality.
Maybe Apple sees 6E being everywhere in the next year or two? Or maybe they see something like this “enhanced performance for high-bandwidth applications, such as augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR)”. 6E does not do walls as good as 5/2.4 but two eco devices in LOS could work with best ever throughput and latency.

I would argue that it's less for home use, and more for use in crowded environments, like your local NHL arena (20k people in the same location) or Olympic Stadium (80k) :)
