The article left out a very important feature of the iPhone 13, which is the physical SIM card slot. This makes it very easy to get tourist SIMs when traveling. I've used tourist SIMs in Asian and Europe.

I'm also not getting a phone with only an eSim until some of the mobile companies get their act together in supporting them.

Great point, unfortunately might be a year or two until they do.

Ofcourse Apple could speed things up by announcing a global variant without a physical sim.
