In my opinion, Motorola knows a good deal of people will buy the product as well as subscribe to the monthly messaging service, but will never use it. It’ll be easy money for the company. It’s not practical for “me”.

Its not necessary for me but its neat that one can have at least messaging communication anywhere, even without the latest iPhones (but I’d rather and do keep at least one of have the latest).
