Happy 10th Birthday to the iPad! In honor of the iPad's 10th Birthday, I thought it would be fun to share sightings of the iPad on tv and movies.

My favorite is one that I saw again just a few weeks ago on a rerun episode of Modern Family. I didn't realize at the time, but this episode took place in the first season (episode #19, season 1) of "Modern Family". The show centers around Phil's birthday. All he wants is an iPad. They have just been released, and his wife Claire says she'll get to the Apple Store around 5 AM to get in line. Of course, she oversleeps, and by the time she gets there the line is horrifically long. She waits and after a comedy of errors comes away empty-handed. Phil is crushed, and more than a little mad about the whole thing.

The episode reminded me of all the stories I have read here on iMore of people staying up into the wee hours of the night to order a new iPhone, iPad or Watch.

Do you have any iPad sightings in TV shows or movies that you'd like to share?

iPad sightings? Is the iPad like Bigfoot or something? I see Apple products as well as other brands of techy stuff on TV and movies. I don't really think much about it.

I saw that one! It was for an iPad 1 I believe. Remember it had a birthday cake with candles on it that could be blown out?

I have not seen iPads on TV much, but I see the Surface Book all the time. I believe MS dropped a LOT of cash on product placement. Companies spend lots on this, BUT one of the very first product placements was a freebie. Spielberg wanted to have ET follow a trail of M&Ms, but M&M/Mars said no way! Then they asked Hershey's and they said SURE! And that put Reese's Pieces on the map!

You mustn’t have seen the episode that entirely takes place via a FaceTime call.

I did see that one, and I think it's the most clever episode of "Modern Family" ever! I mentioned the other one because it's the 10th Anniversary of the iPad, and Phil was so excited about it.
