iPad Pro and Apple Smart Folio keyboard

I have an iPad Pro, with the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. From time to time when watching a YouTube video, the screen will go black, as if I pressed the screen to pause/forward, etcetera the video.

Any idea why this happens? I certainly am not resting my fingers on the keyboard. So, not sure what is causing that.

Thanks all...

Is this happening while you’re watching YouTube via a web browser or via the YouTube app?

Sorry, I should have mentioned, this is via the YouTube app. And, this has been happening for a while, I am only now posting the question online.
So, even with device restarts, or iOS updates, it still happens. Weird really...

I spent the last 30 minutes or so watching several lengthy YouTube videos via the YouTube app on my 2020 iPad Pro w/Apple Magic keyboard, and not once did the screen turn off/turn black so I don’t know what to tell you. I assume your YouTube app is up-to-date. By the way, I’m currently running the developer beta of iPadOS 14.2.

Thanks for trying, this really is a strange one. Albeit, like I stated before, this has been happening for quite some time. I have only now taken a moment to look into it.

As a test, I will use my iPad for a few days, WITHOUT the folio keyboard, and see if the issue persists.

If it persists without the Apple Folio Keyboard then I recommend restoring and setting the iPad up as new.

Well, well, without the folio, while watching a YouTube video, it did, the screen came up as if I was trying to pause the video.
Flipping annoying. It was almost as if, that is where an ad would normally play (I pay for YouTube Premium).

As suggested, I might have to reset to factory and all that. But, that is the last bloody thing I want to do...
