I was wondering if you can use an Ipad mini lightning to HDMI adapter, to mirror whats on your Ipad to another monitor like a computer monitor with an HDMI out? So that way I could use that monitor and my Ipad as a workstation if need be? Is this double or is it only limited to presentations and some other applications?

Do you want to mirror your iPad to your computer, or use your iPad as a second computer screen?

If you look in the Apps forum, or just do a Google search, you'll find a few apps that will show your iPad's screen on your computer (Mac or Windows) if that's what you're trying to do.

Also some apps block mirroring so research the apps you plan on using before purchasing.

IMHO it does not really need it. The smaller screen is almost as pixel dense as the retina iPad and I have a hard time being able to tell the difference. Had one next to my retina 4S all a day and it looks just as good to me
