It started ghost touching some weeks ago so I have had the glass w/digitizer replaced with tape where home button is along the back. During repair I tested the actual LCD under the glass and it is unresponsive despite having a clear picture and working backlight. I put the device back together with new glass+digitizer, but still no response. So now I can power it on but can't power it off because it does not respond to touch and the home button doesn't work either. What is going on? How can a problem that started with lcd ghost touching end up with an LCD that doesn't respond anymore? This is such a pain especially as the LCD is a fingerprint magnet and I don't like touching it.
