That's good to know. It appears that they make a PU Leather and Tech Fabric version. I ended up with the Tech Fabric version in black. I'd be curious to know how that holds up compared to the PU Leather ones.

I'm looking like for a case that is similar to my PlayBook BlackBerry folio case. It's basically A jell case stitched into the leather. There are no gaps like in the corners no unprotected areas and if it falls open there's a big enough lip where it doesn't have room to hi glass on floor. I haven't found one that actually is what I like. Do you guys have any ideas?

Greetings from an PlayBook user!

Does the cover of the Poetic case magnetically attach to the back of the case to stay flat when it's open? I tried the Apple smart case but the cover doesn't stay flat with the back.

The cover on the iPad Air version does not magnetically attach to the back of the case but It stays pretty flat when open and folded back. It is not as soft as the Apple smart case.

This is the one I will get for my iPad mini Retina: iPad Mini Case w/ Origami Smart Cover | Versacover Mini Grey | Moshi. I have read that it has a magnet so that when the smart cover is folded completely flat behind the iPad, it stays in place. The Apple Smart Case does not have this feature. Please note that the Moshi VersaCover Origami case that is currently shipping is compatible only with the original iPad mini. A new version for Retina iPad mini will be released soon.

Do any of the cases out there have the opening for the rear microphone? I picked up a Photive case and the rear microphone is covered. Looking at closeups of various cases on Amazon, I haven't seen any with that opening (as far as I can tell from the photos). I haven't seen the Apple case in person - is there an opening on that one?

I ordered a Canvas from Switcheasy, I love their cases. :)

The Canvas on my iPad 3 has been great so I ordered last year's mini case for the retina mini.
The retina mini arrived last night, but I haven't opened the mini or tested the case. I'll hope to tonight.

I imagine Switcheasy will release a new version to accommodate the slightly thicker chassis and backside microphone.

I already ordered it before I have my mini in my hands, I spoke to Switcheasy directly, and they told me there will be no new mini cases and it will fit fine, I hope they're right. xD

We just received the Poetic case from Amazon, it does have a cut out for the rear mic.

I picked up the Logitech Folio Keyboard case from Best Buy.

I don't like the viewing angle. It's too vertical. It might widen a bit if the joint loosens up, but I don't know.

Typing is pretty rough. The shift, ', and delete keys are particularly hard to use because of the abnormal proportion size.

And the case is not easy to get on and off quickly. So if I just want to hold the tablet, it takes some prying.

Really don't like the case, so I'm going to return it. I think I'll just stick with a smart cover and my K810 BT keyboard.
