iPad Air 2 made a strange sound

While in safari I went to CNN and as soon as the page loaded there came a high pitch squealing sound that progressively got louder until I shut down my iPad. Anyone ever experience this?

After restarting it was fine. My husband heard it as well. Thought it was going to explode as the sound got louder. Scared me. I've owned and iPad 2, 4, and this one and never had anything like this happen before. Maybe it was something with CNN. I didn't use the app. Went to the site using safari.

Maybe it's a sound coming out of website instead of hardware? Try disabling the sound and try it.
