After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
If they do release this year I'll be pretty miffed as I have a 3 day old ipad 2 64 3G!!! It would be wrong of Apple to release this year, these things are too expensive to churn out 2 per year.
I'm not saying that Apple or BMW should only be within the reach of the elite, far from it. i'm pointing at the word diluted. Seriously, who in the right mind is going to go out and spend ?660 GBP for device that is going to be replaced in LESS than six months.
Don't buy the top model? Well I got this model so I can do away with my laptop (except for extreme applications), my CD player and I wanted 3G for true portability and the GPS chip.
Now to think that ipad 3 could be here inside 4 months has me shouting I want a refund. i work in IT and see thing come and go at a staggering rate, but this is ridiculous.
All the people who are doubting you are brand new to the site. They dont know how reliable your info is. Once October comes, they will think twice.![]()
So *if* there is one coming in Oct, what will the pricing be?
Will the iPad 2 still remain on sale, and the new version will be more expensive? Or will the iPad 3 knock the iPad 2 out, and keep the $499/$599/$699 pricing? What do you think?
Chris
I have zero clue as to what the price will be but I'm assuming it will be the same and a slight price drop with the iPad 2. Just a safe speculation.
Chris
Nope, didn't come across as dickish. You hold view as strongly as I do mine. It's all good.
Jeremy
You are obviously held in high regard on this forum and from reading of what people have said regarding your posts on here, your inside info is reliable.
Are you able to speculate if ipad 3 does have retina display and if so, what resolution are we talking?
Thanks
Darren
Shocker!? Not really...![]()
How so? What was behind it the push from Verizon?
I wouldn't say he's a genius, a pationate visionary yes.
