ios6 maps directions?

Does ios 6 still retain the directions function that the google based maps app have? So basically in the previous map app you could get directions but could not get them turn by turn. But im wondering am i still able to get directions none the less or is it turn by turn or nothing?

Yes. You will still get the listing of directions, just written rather than spoken turn by turn.
