Hi friends,

iOS13 is almost here and it's the biggest update since iOS12.

I wanna know from you:

How do you prepare yourself for it (if you even do)?
Is there a way to prepare your device in the best way for it?

Sure, I make a backup almost every day and before every update,
but would it be better to do some "clean" installation?
Wipe the device before updating?
Any tips you have for me?

Or just hit "Update OS" and good to go?

Thank you for any kind of reply and information in advance!

Whenever there’s an OS update I just update OTA. Nothing else to think about.

Bingo.

But I've also been on the 13 and 13.1 betas but even then I just did the OTA update. You can backup your 12 device, but once 13 drops, even if you do a wipe and fresh install, it will be on 13.

There are those who prefer to set up their device as new after a major update. Other than that, just make sure you have a back up. There's not really any other prep involved.

I do the exact same thing! I make sure that I have a good backup, my phone is plugged in. I will probably wait until Friday, to make sure that there are no issues. Plus, it goes faster to wait a day or so.

The only extra step I do is make sure I have a good WiFi connection and have my device plugged in. Just a habit

Thank you to everyone of you!

So, then just waiting until the update appears and "go".
I was wondering about that for a longer time.
I really love my iPhone 8 and want to continue to have a perfectly smooth experience with it with a fresh OS. :)
