iOS 8 and Photos app?

Why did they get rid of the camera roll way of viewing photos. Sometimes they will be saved at later dates than their metadata says, which it now puts them out of the order that a majority of people knew how to look for. I do not want to jailbreak my 5s nor my 6+ when I get it.
