If you're jailbroken already... wait and see what they advise - if you're not jailbroken, go for it...

If you're going to jailbreak, I'd wait until the jailbreak is released so you can update, jailbreak, and only have to restore & re-sync apps once.

they supposedly were waiting for 6.1 to drop before releasing the jailbreak so shouldnt be too much longer now for them to release the jailbreak

beta 5 is the same thing...

I know that, it was just funny timing that I put the B5 on my iPhone then a few hours later the final release was pushed.

No. Probably be required to update before jailbreaking... I'd wait until the jailbreak is out so you can do it all in one session.

All OTA no issues

And yes that's all the devices in my house except one iphone 4 I still have on 5.1.1 for jb reasons as of now

do you happen to know if the build #'s are the same?

Wikipedia's iOS Version History page shows the build number I have from my iPhone4S beta5 install as being the same as the iOS6.1 public version...
