If this happens, it's most likely an announcement. Where are the test builds? They test for a least 2 months.

and again, what would 4.3 need to be tested for?

I'd guess 4.2.2 if anything just to fix the few bugs but no way 4.3!

let alone nothing really to test as it only adds subscriptions.

An update is possible but the question asked was about iOS 4.3...which would indicate a pretty substantial update to the operating system to receive the .3 moniker. 4.2.2? Maybe, especially with such a small update, but even still...i doubt something like that would just be dropped with no word, especially so close to the 4.2.1 release.

I doubt it, 4.2 just came out, why 4.3? My only guess would be that Apple wants to show new iPad users that they do good updates, frequently?
