Probably sending iMessage to Android users. I had ones take days to go through. Like it did not know to switch from iMessage to MMS

What image issues are you seeing with iMessage? I just sent 6 random photos from library via iMessage, and the images were received by the recipient.

When sending from in iMessage (not from in the Photos app), when you choose a photo, there's no "send" option. It doesn't go back there. I have to close the app, then open it. Then it shows the photo waiting to be sent. Try sending a photo in iMessage using the photos app icon on the iMessage app drawer bar.

It sounds like you are seeing the photo from iCloud, but it’s not downloading to be able to send. I have seen this before with no Wi-Fi and very poor cell service. Can’t send a photo that is pending download from your iCloud. Also make sure MMS did not get toggled off. Could also try toggling off and back on. Or even doing the same with iMessage.

No, I don't have iCloud Photos enabled. When I tap the Photos app icon on the iMessage app drawer, it shows my camera roll. I tap on a photo to send, but nothing happens. It doesn't return back to Messages, with the photo ready to send. I'm not the only one seeing this behavior.

If you have trouble shot that the same picture sends with other apps like Facebook messenger or WhatsApp or even adding to a post here. If you haven’t, would toggle of iMessage and to a hard reboot then toggle it back on see if it fixes. Also check privacy make sure you did not deny access.

Doesn't do anything. It's broken. It was fine through iOS 16.3 beta cycle. It started with iOS 16.4 beta.

When I’m in the iMessage app and then select a photo from OneDrive and from Photos, the blue send arrow is clearly visible to me.

Share from the photos app icon in iMessage.

That is exactly what I did and I was able to see the send option (white arrow w/ a blue background) as depicted in my previous screenshot. In fact, I just did it again a few seconds before responding to your reply and I got the same results.
