So… a thing a USA carrier invented, like fake 4G and 5Ge?

Thanks

I believe it's an indicator that the phone is connected to mmWave. On Verizon here in the States it's branded as UW which stands for Ultra Wideband.

I don't blame you for having this thought though. The carriers are the cartel here.

Actually, it’s a higher capacity and faster network side. On it I’ve averaged 500-700mb down..

On the regular 5G I’ve averaged 100-200mb down.

Those are the speeds I get on 4G with an iPhone 11 Pro, and that's inside a concrete building in the middle of downtown, so yeah… I'm genuinely shocked

I think the indicator here would be 5G, then 5G UW for mmWave. It's LTE for 4G, because the carriers confused people on what is 4G.

Same here, we have an oligopoly of 3 national carriers, and 3 flankers owned by the first 3. Then, you have regional carriers which don't have much of an owned network outside their region.
