iOS 14.5 PIP?

Ive read somewhere that iOS 14.5 will include PIP for YouTube..can anyone confirm this?

I can’t get it to work on safari for whatever reason

I just got home a bit ago and had a chance to check. Videos have to be in full screen to do PiP, and then either I forgot or didn’t think about this, you will need YouTube Premium to allow background play as well. The videos closed when I wasn’t logged in, as I have a grandfathered Premium account, I was able to verify they played in PiP on my account.
