Since my new iPhone 8-Plus came with 11.0 installed, I did not add the Beta Profile yet. Not sure I want to rush.. anyone have any experience with the 11.1 Beta?

So for some reason my Iphone 7’s battery life increased by about 3hrs. I have reason to believe this update had something to do with it. With same kind of usage it used to last about 12-14hrs. Now it is 3 more hours atleast today with the same usage. I will check this over the next few days. Let me know if anyone has observed this.

Youtuber idevicehelp says that the battery lasts at least an hour longer. That alone may be reason to install beta profile. I will not update to beta just yet.

Not enough for me.. the 8+ I go all day and I am still at 92%. The extra hour won't mean much. Since getting the phone on the 22nd, I have not been down lower than 89% battery remaining.

Not necessarily, that's why it's beta. They are testing to see if it does fix the bugs or causes new ones. That's the risk with Beta. They may release a 2nd beta, 3rd beta, we don't know until Apple does or does not do it.

So when they release 11.1, we stay with 11.1 beta-buggy. Ok thank you

If you don’t revert back to the latest official iOS release then yes, you stay with the current beta until there’s an update for it.

Has anybody else noticed the occasional flicker/auto-brightness correction when opening your phone? I'm wondering if 11.1 fixes this. I've had it on an 8 and 8 Plus, so I know it's software. When you open your phone, after maybe half a second, it immediately (instead of smoothly) drops down a few levels of brightness.

The last beta in a cycle is the same thing the public gets.

Correct, but it is also true that when Apple releases 11.1, they may very well be sending out a beta for 11.1.1 or 11.2 (less likely), so you may be right back to the betas in a very short time.

This update killed my battery. When I went to sleep my battery was at 100%. When I woke up it was at 13%. When I went to use it, it shut off at 13% and I put it on the charger and was still at 13%. It completely ruined the battery

It is a beta.
I would recommend plugging in your iPhone to charge overnight.
