Internet radio through USB

Looking to get a new car stereo. Will Pandora or Slacker streaming radio work through the usb connector to the stereo or do I have to use the 3.5mm aux input?

If I can only play iPod songs through the usb then i'll probably just get one with a 3.5mm aux input.

Depends on the car stereo really. My friends you can't, but the JVC in my old car had two modes, one for just listening to songs and controlling through the head unit and another that allowed you to pick songs with the iPod or iPhone, that would also pass app audio through the USB.

Ah ok. I'm looking at 2 pioneer stereos. The 1300mp has aux in only for $63 while the 3300ub has iPod control through USB for $95

Anyone know about these two radios?

Just went ahead and checked out the manual for the 3300ub and it looks like it'll do exactly what you want. It has a mode called CTRL APP that will play sounds from apps, which sounds like exactly what you need.
