International Songs from U.S

If I had an Apple Music Subscription in the U.S, can I listen to international songs globally?

From what it seems, Apple region locks based on your Apple Cloud ID so you cannot. However, want to verify if that is the case? I don't want to create multiple Cloud ID's just to listen to different songs.

I know someone with Spotify and they can listen to any songs globally with a U.S subscription. I would rather just go with Spotify but want to see what others have to say.

I'm sure there are workarounds, such as you mentioned using multiple Apple IDs (PAIN in the tukas), OR using a VPN (paid or free). HOWEVER as you also said perhaps it's just easier to use Spotify?

I don't believe VPN will resolve the issue as it's based on your Account not your IP. It seems this is a huge difference between Apple Music vs Spotify at least for me it is.
