Incoming Phone calls that users can hear while I'm on the phone

Whenever I'm on the phone with someone, if I receive an incoming phone call, the existing caller can her either a beep or sound that indicates that I have another incoming call.

I would rather a caller "not" hear or be able to tell when I have another incoming phone call, while I'm on the phone with them.

My question: Is there a way to eliminate that from happening where an existing caller that I'm talking to cannot tell when another incoming phone call is on the other line?

I have a iPhone 3GS with AT&T (with software update 3.1.3)
