I think notifications. For awhile it was something that was intrusive and not helpful. It simplifies everything when playing a game or surfing the web.

I would have to say the feature I am most looking forward to is the updated notification system. Currently the way notifications are handled is just too complicated and intrusive.

I'm also really looking forward to the reminders app, I am wondering if this would be a bit of competition for reminder apps like Omnifocus

Notifications....and on that subject, is it true that we'll be able to create our own notification tones like it's currently done with ringtones?

In no order of preference:
1. Notifications - about the only thing I liked on Android
2. Siri
3. iCloud
4. Camera software and hardware improvements

Siri Advanced Voice Control by far is the best feature. icloud is ok feature cool but just ok since it starts at only 5GB. Notifications would be second. But seems to be using 25-50mb's of ram.

I am looking forward to notifications as well. The current notifications are so annoying that I have to turn it off all the time.

The whole update is one giant improvement over iOS 4, but if i had to choose the best features it would probably be AirPlay mirroring and the new Notification Center. First of all, AirPlay mirroring could be the dark horse amongst the features, it just has too much potential, in my eyes, to fail. Secondly, the new notifications are absolutely beautiful. it takes what android and lockinfo did but makes it 100x better. This is patented Apple at its finest :)

coming from webOS there were many things i thought i'd miss. Turns out iOS5 will address the two most glaring omissions, a better non intrusive notification system and a week view in the standard calculator. iMessage i could do without, iCloud looks promising,

I'd have to say that Airplay is the feature I'm most looking forward to, as I hope to use it to display presentations from my iPad.

Otherwise, core things are usually most important to me... like the system-wide dictionary, notification system, or iCloud file backup, etc.... or core features added to the core apps. It's stuff like that which most affect daily productivity.
